Do I have to rent a car?

Fortunately, we have an extensive sidewalk system that stretches from deep in the valley on the Unalaska side, all the way to the dock at Dutch Harbor. If the weather is bright and calm, walking is most definitely an option. You can also ride your bike or take taxis.

Will I see my favorite "Deadliest Catch" boat and captain on my visit?

There are no guarantees, but the most likely possibility to see Deadliest Catch crew members would be during the first half of October (subject to change due to start of crab season) when they are in Unalaska/Dutch Harbor gearing up for the season.

Will my cell phone work in Unalaska/Port of Dutch Harbor?

Unfortunately, cell phone towers are limited in the Unalaska/Dutch Harbor area. We have minimal AT&T reception, however most other services will be unavailable.
