Unalaska/Port of Dutch Harbor is located in the Aleutian Chain, Alaska’s southwest region, and because of that we are only accessible by air and by sea. Once on the island, you may walk, rent a car, or grab a taxi. Points of interest are spread throughout our community, but still usually of walking distance. So whether you’re coming in on the ferry or cruise boat, or just flying in, Unalaska/Dutch Harbor is definitely worth the adventure.

 

By Air There are daily flights from Anchorage, Alaska year round. When booking a flight to our town, airlines refer to Unalaska as “Dutch Harbor.” All flights to us are booked through Alaska Airlines.

Pen Air does have service between Unalaska/Dutch Harbor and; Atka, Akutan and Nikolski
(PenAir does not make reservations from Anchorage to Dutch Harbor).

By Sea The Alaska Marine Highway system provides ferry service from Homer, Alaska to Unalaska/Dutch Harbor during the summer months of May through September aboard their 296 ft. M/V Tustumena.

Also, there are several cruise ship companies that stop in the city of Unalaska/Port of Dutch Harbor. Companies vary year to year, and it would be best to contact your travel agent for more information.
